Elvis was known for being fun loving as well as very giving. He had certain humility about him in which combined with his good looks, talent, sensuality and terrific sense of humor made him a winner with millions of people.

As popular as Elvis was, he always believed in doing his duty. Regardless of the celebrity status in which he helped then, Elvis honorably served in the army. This endeared him further to a country that was ravaged with fear and uncertainty.

Elvis passed away at his home in Tennessee on August 16, 1977. Although he passed, his music, movies, Elvis memorabilia and so much more live on.
